⁸ But when the crowds saw this, they were afraid, and ^(A)glorified God, who had given such authority to men.

^9 (B)And as Jesus went on from there, He saw a man called ^(C)Matthew, sitting in the tax office; and He *said to him, “^(D)Follow Me!” And he stood up and followed Him.

^10 [a]Then it happened that as ^[b]Jesus was reclining at the table in the house, behold, many tax collectors and ^[c]sinners came and were dining with Jesus and His disciples.
